Happy Belated Thanksgiving! Hope this finds you well and having enjoyed the weekend. This past weekend for me has been busy, actually the past two weeks for both me and Abby have required us to be on the constant go! Needless to say, we enjoyed all the projects, ministry opportunities, social events and even a walking safari that we participated in, as well as attending multiple thanksgiving dinners . . .:) mmmm. Our favourite being the one we got to hold in our own home for the sat “morning” girls bible study. It was a time of good fellowship, good food, great games, and MUCH laughter . . .we might have even ilicited some noise complaints from our neighbours . . .but it was 4:00 in the afternoon!?! All of this to say, this weekend has been a good time for me to reflect on just what I am thankful for, and specifically, what things I have been thankful for these last two months . . . my roommates, two wonderful women of incredible faith who happen to know how to cook and have a tonne of fun, a fun WHM team to get to know and work with, a cozy apartment that is now sporting cheery Christmas lights (thanks tk!) and a unique nativity scene that reminds me of the upcoming season (which I am most definitely thankful for!), friends all over the world that are a constant encouragement to me, new friends here who are a delight to spend time with and get to know, the opportunity to meet, love and share the gospel with people, the beauty of Kenya and it’s weather (nope, not missing nasty November weather) and most of all a God, who is so constant and faithful in His love for me that it truly blows my mind when I think about it.
Happy Thanksgiving . . .y’all!! (shout out to TN)
Ps…NOT thankful for the monkey that chased me last week and would have bit my ankles if he got the chance.
