Not everyone knows this, but at CIT* this summer, Abby and I, with two good friends had the unique opportunity to learn Michael Jackson’s Thriller dance. And there is a time and reason for all things! Lately we have been putting that learning to good use! Our good friend Lydia here helped start an afterschool aerobics class for high school girls at a school in Kibera and invited us to teach the girls a new dance . . .it’s the Thriller. We have been having a blast as we break it down into a three part learning experience . . .I’ve been told I’m really in my element (scary?). About 8-12 girls participate, many who come from really broken homes. This is an opportunity to just relax and have fun (while half of the school comes into watch). Unique memories are being made that’s for sure . . . I guess it might just be one of those things where you just have to be there . . .
